The clause provides detailed guidance on the most critical aspects relating to this use: the compliance of the biofuel supplied with the required standards; the charterer’s information and liability obligations; the technical and crew training requirements to be met by the shipowner; and the compensation mechanisms for differences in energy performance compared with traditional fuels.
