On November 27th, Marco Lopez de Gonzalo participated as a speaker at the V Lisbon Maritime Law Conference, an event celebrating the centenary of the Hague Rules.

In his presentation, on the topic “Mandatory rules and parties’ autonomy in the Hague Rules,” Marco explained how mandatory rules and contractual freedom work together and why this is important for maritime law.
