On 13 December 2022, the conference ‘1942-2022 – The 80 Years of the Navigation Code: Domestic Law, Sources and Supranational Practices’, organised by the Italian Maritime Law Association and the Harbour Master General Head Office – Coast Guard, was held in Genova. The subject of the conference was the analysis of the relationship between the code and supra-national sources regulating maritime and aviation law, as well as its relationship with domestic law and business practice. During the second session, Marco Lopez De Gonzalo delivered a presentation on the relationship between the navigation code and private autonomy.
